MY APPROACH
What to expect
During your initial visit, I take the time to understand your situation and create a plan that fits your unique needs. This includes:
Exploring your feeding goals and experiences so far
Reviewing your medical history and a full assessment of your baby’s needs
A latch evaluation and adjustments to ensure feeding is effective and pain-free
Pre- and post-feed weights to measure milk intake
Pump demonstration and flange fitting for comfort and efficiency
A personalized, written feeding plan, with referrals to other providers if needed
-
Check your insurance eligibility through The Lactation Network if you have one of the following plans: BCBS, VA OptumEast, UnitedHealthcare (PPO or HMO), UMR, Oxford, or plans that include the MultiPlan, PNOA, Imagine Health, Velocity, or First Health logo.
If your insurance isn’t listed, we can discuss self-pay options and the possibility of reimbursement through your provider.

Step 3: You will receive a form to provide health history for you and your baby. Please complete the form before your visit to help me better understand you and allow our time together to be most productive.
