  • Check your insurance eligibility through The Lactation Network if you have one of the following plans: BCBS, VA OptumEast, UnitedHealthcare (PPO or HMO), UMR, Oxford, or plans that include the MultiPlan, PNOA, Imagine Health, Velocity, or First Health logo.

    If your insurance isn’t listed, we can discuss self-pay options and the possibility of reimbursement through your provider.

  • Step 3: You will receive a form to provide health history for you and your baby. Please complete the form before your visit to help me better understand you and allow our time together to be most productive. 

  • I’ll be in touch within 24–48 hours.

How it works

  • IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. It is the highest credential for a healthcare provider specializing in lactation. IBCLCs may also be credentialed as nurses, midwives, physicians, nutritionists, and speech therapists. 

  • Many insurance plans cover up to six lactation visits. Click HERE to see if you are in-network. 

  • Nourish Lactation Chicago provides home visits to most of Chicago and the Near North or West suburbs. In some cases, a virtual visit is also a good option. 

  • Nourish Lactation Chicago will coordinate with you to find a time that works with your little one’s prime feeding times.
